INFORMATION SHEET
The information contained herein is a consolidation of the Driving NC II
qualification. This information sheet is based on the basic, common and core
competencies from the TESDA Training Regulation on Driving NC II and presented
in a situational or case studies which is an innovation by Dr. Silvano B. Maranga, President and CEO of
Action for Skills Knowledge Education and Wellness Center Corp. This document
as prepared is submitted for Copyright and shall only be utilized by trainees
and designated technical experts of the institution.
Trainees shall receive a hard copy of this instrument upon enrollment
and shall read and understand its contents. If needed, the trainee can text or
call ASKEDWELL for clarification.
This is designed to develop trainees to be adapted to the Adult Learning
modality and Competency- based System of TESDA.
Participants are expected to present three (3) responses based on
assumed time of the event, persons
concerned and condition of the vehicle.
They shall join with other trainees to form groups of three, four or five
members to discuss and share ideas to respond to the guide questions.
Information sharing is a great learning tool and must be practiced by the
trainees of Action for Skills Knowledge Education and Wellness Center Corp. it
shall also be an obligation of a trainee to open a website intended for the
trainees of the institution and keep the password as a secret access key to
more information and learning in the course on Driving NC II.
1.1 Participating in workplace communications

unfamiliar areas and you are not familiar with the dialect and you need ask

OPERATION SHEET
The operation sheet provides a learner in Driving NC II the steps in
proper operation of a light vehicle. The column in the left provides the major
operational step while the second column provides the critical knowledge or
skills to ensure safety to persons and property

check inside the cabin conditions

Check the play of the lever and place in neutral position

C. Move the vehicle

C1 Run the engine in idle for 3 to 5 minutes for warm up
C2 signal always your intention to turn or stop

C5 Stop your vehicle on a downhill position

This warm up procedure will ensure that the oil is properly circulated
inside the engine
Listen for unwanted sounds coming from the engine. This could be a
sign of engine trouble
Practice road courtesy at all times
Use rear view and sideview mirrors while maneuvering your vehicle
Turn the front wheel toward the gutter for safety in parking

D. Stopping or parking the vehicle

D1. Run the engine in idle for 3 to 5 minutes upon stopping for garage
D2 Engage the handbrake,
position the front tire on a diagonal position and engage the transmission
lever to first gear
D3 note the fuel and water temperature level

This will ensure that battery is recharged and
temperature of engine is brought to a cooler temperature upon parking
This ensures that the car can not move by accident
and prevent damage to life and
property
Ensure that there is enough fuel to run the vehicle for next operation
Check the water level and condition of the
radiator tank

THE NEED FOR HEALTHY FOOD
·
The need for and concern for health through prevention is emphasized in
the programs of the Department of Health and the healthy life style goals of
the Municipal Health Unit
·
Government pushed for the development of healthy foods through the
Organic Agriculture Act of 2010 also known as RA 10068 which give support to
the production of organically produced animals and crops.
·
In ASKEDWELL, a trainee on Driving NC II is exposed to the world of
healthy food with the intent of keeping the driver in the best of health. Many
lives depend on the physical and mental condition of a driver while driving a
vehicle.
·
Organic and healthy food will be offered for the trainees of Driving NC
II at the Action for Skills Knowledge and Wellness Center in Bongdo, Borbon,
Cebu. This will enhance their knowledge and understanding on how healthy food is produced. And what makes it
organic.
·
Brief session on concoctions used by organic farmers shall be conducted
at the training center for the Driving NC II trainee.
HEALTHY EXERCISE
·
The President and CEO of Action for Skills Knowledge and Wellness Center
Corp is the author of a book on Health and Wellness the Natural Way: Exercise
60 more or less
·
This is for people who do not have time to exercise, like drivers,
computer operators, call center agents, teachers, caregivers and other occupations.
There are people who devote their time to work or sit most of the time, this
exercise is for them.
·
An hour or two session to explain and demonstrate the use of the book
will also be done at the center.
GENERAL PROGRAM ON ACHIEVING THE DRIVING NCII LEVEL
OF COMPETENCY THE ASKEDWELL WAY
The course on Driving NC II is approved by TESDA Reg 7 with the issuance
of the Certificate of Program Registration COPR number SN WTR 017203 dated
September 23 , 2013
Training applicants without cell phone or can not use a cell phone is
disqualified in this program
Training applicants are willing to learn and allocate at least 2 hours
for the use of internet which will be
taught by the training team of ASKEDWELL. The training process in blended,
meaning an online interaction and face to face engagement with the trainer is
the approved training format which will run for 120 hours
The training system also allows for recognition of prior learning which
means that stock knowledge is credited after an interview and a performance
check.A driving license is an important documentary requirement.
Trainees are classified into two:

Those that have driving experience in
City streets with heavy traffic
·
Those that have moved a vehicle in rural communities and have not
experienced city traffic
Upon enrolment a trainee will be issued a training manual containing the

Tips on Organic and natural way of producing healthy food
There are initially 3 designated off-campus locations which are
authorized by ASKEDWELL to coordinate with trainees and training applicants

Conduct of peer learning and discussion workshops are arranged based on
available schedule of 10 trainees/ participants. This can be done on weekends
or evening sessions as the process is competency-based and not bounded by time
constraints.
The participants decide on what topic to discuss and when to complete
course based on the nominal duration of 120 training hours. What is important
in these engagements are the understanding and assimilation of the knowledge
and skills required for the completion of the course.
The participants together with the facilitator shall determine the
schedule for the long travel from the City to Bongdo, Borbon Cebu where the
Center is situated. As this trip is also a learning trip, the participants
shall take note of the traffic signs along the way. In each stop, traffic signs
and offenses are discussed.
At the last phase of the trip, the participants shall individually conduct
a vehicle check based on the check list as indicated in the training manual.
Upon arrival at the center, native chicken, fruits and vegetables with
fruit drinks will be provided to the participants.
It will also serve as culmination of the training and Training
Certificates will be issued by ASKEDWELL to the graduates.
Applications for Competency Assessment to TESDA shall be distributed and
filled- up for submission and scheduling with TESDA accredited assessor.
